"Most freelancers go with FreshBooks, Wave or Bonsai for invoicing."
AI visibility tracking
Find out what AI
tells your buyers.
Every week SalesScouter asks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini the questions your buyers ask, records who gets named, works out why, and hands you the week’s fixes. Every one points at a source those answers were built from, because that is the part you can actually change.
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini — all three, every week.
$19 for a 7-day pass. No subscription. Included on every plan, with no tier where this is switched off.
"Popular picks are FreshBooks, Wave and InvoiceZen for lighter setups."
"For small teams the usual recommendations are Zoho Invoice, Wave and FreshBooks."
The questions we put to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini every week
MEASURE, DIAGNOSE, ACT
A number on its own is a scoreboard. This is a loop.
Plenty of tools will tell you a percentage. The percentage is the easy part — and on its own it tells you nothing you can do on Monday morning. Each weekly run ends with somewhere to go.
Measure
Your approved questions go to all three engines, asked verbatim with no system prompt and no formatting instructions. Anything added to steer the response changes the answer a real buyer would have received.
Every weekDiagnose
Which questions you lost and to whom, which rival just entered the field, where a model started describing you badly, and which sources every answer leaned on. Movements, not just levels.
Week over weekAct
A short list of specific moves, each anchored to something the run actually produced: a thread to join, a listing to ask for, a question to answer publicly, a false claim to correct.
Five, not fiftyWHAT YOU GET, WEEKLY
Four numbers, and the sources behind every one of them.
Delivered to your inbox and sitting next to your Reddit and X leads — because the threads that move this number are the same threads your leads come from.
of this week’s answers named you at least once
your slice of every brand mentioned in your category
times a model named you by name this week
how the models describe you when they do name you
The denominator counts every brand named, including ones you never listed — a field limited to your own competitors would flatter you the moment a new entrant appeared.
HOW IT WORKS
You approve a question list once. The rest runs every week.
We propose your questions
SalesScouter reads your site, works out what you sell and who for, and drafts the questions a buyer would actually type — “best invoicing tool for freelancers”, never “recommend our product”. A question containing instructions measures whether the engine follows instructions, not what it tells your buyers.
You approve the list
Edit them, drop the ones that do not sound like your market, approve the rest. Approval is deliberate on purpose: each approved question is put to three engines every week for as long as it stays on, so the list is a recurring bill worth a human read.
Three engines, once a week
ChatGPT with web search, Perplexity, and Gemini with Google Search grounding. Each answer is stored verbatim, because when a number is ever disputed the only useful reply is the answer we actually received — and re-asking cannot reproduce it.
Every brand and source extracted
Who was named, in what order, how they were described, and every URL the answer was built from — split by who owns it. Including brands you never told us about.
A digest, and somewhere to go
What moved since last week, and the short list of moves worth making. You mark them done, and the next run tells you whether the number followed.
THE DETAIL
What each number means, and what it does not.
Metrics like these are easy to state and easy to quietly get wrong. Here is exactly how each one is computed.
The four metrics
Which engines, and why those
Where answers come from
When an engine cannot be reached, that answer is recorded as failed and left out of the denominator — never counted as “you were not named”. Otherwise every rate-limited week would read as a visibility crash.
WHAT WE WILL NOT CLAIM
The honest limits of this, stated up front.
Nobody can place you in an answer
There is no submission form for ChatGPT, no API that inserts a brand into a response, and no vendor who has one. Any tool promising to put you in AI answers is selling you something it cannot deliver.
A number can move for reasons that are not you
Models change, indexes change, and a rival publishes something good. We report what we measured and what moved — not a story about why, when we cannot know why.
Your first run is a baseline, not a verdict
A single week is a snapshot of a non-deterministic system. Movements only mean something against a previous run, which is why nothing is reported as a change until there is something to compare it with.
THE WHOLE PRODUCT
Three surfaces where buyers decide. One subscription, all three.
AI visibility is the surface this page is about, and it comes with both lead channels — the threads that move your visibility are the same threads your leads come from.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ACTUALLY ASK
Know exactly what is being measured before you pay.
Something else on your mind? Just email us.
01What is AI visibility tracking?
It is asking answer engines the questions your buyers ask, on a fixed schedule, and recording which brands get named. It is the equivalent of rank tracking for a surface that has no rankings to read: in a generated answer there is no position, just one paragraph naming a few products and no indication of what was left out. The only way to know where you stand is to ask, repeatedly, and count.
02Can you actually influence what ChatGPT says about me?
Not directly, and be careful with anyone who says otherwise. There is no submission form for ChatGPT and no tool — including this one — that can insert your brand into a model’s answer. What SalesScouter does is measure, then show you the sources each answer was built from. Most of those are public discussions you are allowed to join, which is the entire mechanism available to anyone.
03What is the difference between visibility and share of voice?
They answer different questions and are constantly conflated. Visibility is the share of answers that named you at all. Share of voice is your slice of every brand mention in the field. A product named once in every answer of a five-brand field has 100% visibility and 20% share of voice — both readings correct, neither a substitute for the other. SalesScouter reports them separately for that reason.
04Which engines do you measure, and can I change them?
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, every week, each with web search active. They are pinned rather than configurable: the engine is the subject of the measurement, so substituting a different model would not be a settings change — it would be measuring something else and reporting it under the same name.
05Where do the questions come from?
SalesScouter reads your website, works out what you sell and who for, and proposes a starting set of buyer questions. You edit them, drop the ones that do not sound like your buyers, and approve the rest. Approval is deliberate rather than automatic because each approved question is asked of three engines every week for as long as it stays approved.
06Is this an add-on, or a separate plan?
Neither — it is on every plan, including the $19 seven-day pass. Solo measures 10 questions weekly, Growth 40, and Scale 100. There is no tier where it is switched off, and no channel you have to buy first.
07What happens when an engine cannot be reached?
That answer is recorded as failed and excluded from the denominator, rather than counted as “you were not named”. Counting a rate limit as an absence would make every throttled week look like a visibility crash, which is the single easiest way for a metric like this to quietly lie to you.
